Happy Birthday Times Two

Our family looks forward to November 5 every year, or it has for at least the past ten years. It became doubly exciting when we began celebrating the birthdays of not one, but two of our family members. Ben joined our family in 2002 and Chloe followed exactly five years later in 2007. Perhaps the most amazing (to me, anyway) part is that they both weighed in exactly the same 8 pounds 13 ounces. And they were born three minutes apart from each other: Ben at 6:40pm and Chloe at 6:37pm.

The two started out the day with a gift from our good friends, the Hagans, who made each of the kids a fleece blanket. They were SO excited to find them when they woke up this morning!

We had CC classes today, which was a special treat for the birthday buddies, and we made a special treat for all of our CC friends to celebrate! Yesterday after church, we made a family affair of cupcake-making and ended up with over 120 to share with the group.

After CC, we had a special (though casual) dinner out with the kids.

The waitress brought the birthday kids a free dessert–a chocolate cake that looked divine!

We love to celebrate Benjamin and Chloe!

Blog on Sister! Special events make it easier, but only persistence gets it published. I on the other hand am falling tragically behind with 4 drafts and no finished product. Ironically, one of my drafts is on finishing. Hope I get it finished soon! The others were intended to be pre-election day posts. Oh well…

Thanks for the encouragement! I definitely would not have blogged last night if I didn’t have the accountability factor hanging over my head. So are you going to go ahead and publish what you did?
